韩国政府和执政党共同民主党16日召开会议，同意在未来三个月释放总计2246万桶战略石油储备，以缓解由中东局势紧张引发的油价上涨。

On the 16th, the South Korean government and the ruling Democratic Party held a meeting and agreed to release a total of 22.46 million barrels of strategic oil reserves in the next three months to alleviate the rising oil prices caused by the tense situation in the Middle East.

  共同民主党国会议员与财政经济部、金融委员会等政府部门官员当天举行特别工作组会议，商讨稳定油价和能源供应的对策。与会人员同意，未来三个月逐步向市场释放2246万桶战略石油储备，具体方案将于本周晚些时候公布。该计划是国际能源署释放石油储备行动的一部分。

Members of the Democratic Party of Korea's National Assembly and officials from the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Financial Committee and other government departments held a special working group meeting on the same day to discuss countermeasures for stabilizing oil prices and energy supply. The participants agreed that 22.46 million barrels of strategic oil reserves would be gradually released to the market over the next three months. The specific plan will be announced later this week. This plan is part of the oil reserve release initiative by the International Energy Agency.

本月11日，国际能源署32个成员国一致同意释放4亿桶战略石油储备，韩国释放量占比5.6%。

On the 11th of this month, the 32 member countries of the International Energy Agency unanimously agreed to release 400 million barrels of strategic oil reserves, and South Korea's share was 5.6%.

       会议同时决定，韩国产业通商资源部将于本周将该国能源危机预警级别上调一级，由四级中最低级的“关注”提升至“注意”。此外，共同民主党和政府同意在本月底前向国会提交今年第一份补充预算案，以帮助解决相关民生问题。  

The meeting also decided that the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of South Korea will raise the country's energy crisis alert level by one grade this week, moving from the lowest level of "attention" in the four-tier system to "caution". Additionally, the ruling Democratic Party of Korea and the ruling People's Party have agreed to submit the country's first supplementary budget proposal for this year to the National Assembly by the end of this month to help address related民生 issues.

       共同民主党国会议员安道杰会后告诉媒体记者，韩国当前石油储备量可供维持208天，液化天然气储备可供维持9天。他表示，韩国政府决定16日起解除燃煤发电厂发电量不高于装机容量80%的规定，并将在5月中旬前陆续完成6座核反应堆的维护工作，从而将核电站运行率由当前的不足70%提高至约80%。

After the meeting, An Daogai, a member of the National Assembly of the Democratic Party, told the media that the current oil reserves in South Korea can sustain the country for 208 days, and the liquefied natural gas reserves can sustain for 9 days. He said that the South Korean government has decided to lift the regulation that the power generation capacity of coal-fired power plants should not exceed 80% of the installed capacity starting from the 16th, and will complete the maintenance work of 6 nuclear reactors successively before mid-May, thereby increasing the operation rate of nuclear power plants from the current less than 70% to about 80%.

  韩国贸易协会数据显示，该国能源几乎完全依赖进口，约70%的石油和约20%的液化天然气来自中东地区。面对油价持续上涨，韩国政府13日起实施“石油价格上限制度”，对炼油企业供应给加油站和分销商的石油产品设置价格上限。这是韩国政府1997年实行油价自由化措施以来，首次依据《石油事业法》相关条款设置油价上限。

According to data from the Korea Trade Association, the country's energy is almost entirely dependent on imports. Approximately 70% of its oil and about 20% of its liquefied natural gas come from the Middle East. In response to the continuous rise in oil prices, the South Korean government implemented the "oil price cap system" starting from the 13th. This system sets a price cap on the petroleum products supplied by refining enterprises to gas stations and distributors. This is the first time since the implementation of the oil liberalization measures in 1997 that the South Korean government has set an oil price cap based on the relevant provisions of the "Petroleum Industry Law".
