A few days ago, the 600mm ultra-high power graphite electrode produced by Jinling Petrochemical after calcined needle coke was successfully tested in three domestic steel mills, marking that Sinopec's 600mm ultra-high power graphite electrode after calcined needle coke has achieved stage results. Needle coke is an irreplaceable high temperature resistant conductive and heating material for arc furnace steelmaking and a high quality raw material for the preparation of high-end lithium battery anode materials. The graphite electrode made of needle coke has the advantages of strong thermal shock resistance, high mechanical strength, good oxidation performance, low electrode consumption and high allowable current density. The sample of Jinling Petrochemical's calcined needle coke has passed the professional and strict pilot eva luation test by Swiss R&D Company, an international professional eva luation organization. The eva luation results show that the quality of Jinling Petrochemical's calcined needle coke has reached the level of high quality needle coke and can be used as raw material for producing ultra-high power graphite electrodes. |
