According to the Financial Times of the UK, the "Kawomalias" was owned by the Greek Dacnong Oil Tanker Company. After being attacked, the engine room of the ship caught fire and the crew abandoned the ship and evacuated. The company stated that the oil tanker had been abandoned by the crew and the on-board operation systems had failed. Currently, it is impossible to obtain first-hand information at the scene.
