SHPGX Commentary: In 2025, the EU's natural gas supply is expected to increase by 2.3% year-on-year, reaching approximately 131 million terajoules (TJ); the supply of renewable energy is projected to increase by 1.4%, reaching 115 million terajoules.

欧盟统计局29日发布的数据显示，2025年欧盟天然气和可再生能源供应较上年增长，而煤炭和石油产品供应下降。

Data released by Eurostat on the 29th shows that in 2025, the supply of natural gas and renewable energy in the EU increased compared to the previous year, while the supply of coal and petroleum products decreased.

数据显示，继2023年大幅下滑后，欧盟天然气供应连续两年保持增长。2025年天然气供应同比增长2.3%，达到约1310万太焦耳（TJ）。

The data shows that after a significant decline in 2023, the EU's natural gas supply has continued to increase for two consecutive years. In 2025, the natural gas supply increased by 2.3% year-on-year, reaching approximately 131 million terajoules (TJ).

2025年欧盟可再生能源供应同比增长1.4%，达1150万太焦耳。不过，受水电大幅下降拖累，当年可再生能源发电量略有回落。核能供应增幅相对温和，同比增长0.2%至约65万吉瓦时（GWh）。

In 2025, the EU's renewable energy supply increased by 1.4% year-on-year, reaching 11.5 million terajoules. However, due to a significant decline in hydropower, the renewable energy generation volume slightly decreased that year. The nuclear energy supply growth was relatively moderate, increasing by 0.2% to approximately 6.5 million gigawatt-hours (GWh).

煤炭和石油供应延续下降态势。2025年褐煤供应约1.85亿吨，同比下降7.7%；硬煤供应约1.07亿吨，同比下降3.2%。两者均创下1990年有数据记录以来的最低水平。石油产品供应总量约为4.49亿吨。欧盟统计局同时提示，由于立陶宛多种炼油产品产量数据涉及保密，2025年欧盟石油产品供应量可能存在小幅低估。

The supply of coal and oil continues to decline. In 2025, the supply of lignite will be approximately 185 million tons, a decrease of 7.7% compared to the previous year; the supply of hard coal will be approximately 107 million tons, a decrease of 3.2% compared to the previous year. Both have reached their lowest levels since data records began in 1990. The total supply of petroleum products is approximately 449 million tons. The European Statistical Office also noted that due to the confidentiality of the production data of various refined petroleum products in Lithuania, the supply of petroleum products in the EU in 2025 may be slightly underestimated.
