The recent release of several sets of data in China's offshore oil sector indicates that there is great potential in deep-sea oil and gas resources:

  一是2025年，我国海上最大气田“深海一号”油气产量突破450万吨油当量，与陆地中型油田产量规模相当，我国深海气田生产运营维护技术达到世界先进水平。

In 2025, the "Deep Sea No.1" offshore gas field in China will produce over 4.5 million tons of oil equivalent, which is comparable to the production scale of medium-sized oil fields on land. The production, operation and maintenance technologies for deep-sea gas fields in China will reach the world's advanced level.

  二是2025年，包括“深海一号”在内的环海南岛海上气田群累计生产油气突破1000万吨油当量，较“十三五”末实现产量翻番，其中深海占区域新增油气产量的90%以上。

Second, by 2025, the offshore gas fields around Hainan Island, including "Deep Sea No.1", will have cumulatively produced over 100 million tons of oil equivalent. This represents a doubling of production compared to the end of the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, with deep-sea areas accounting for over 90% of the new oil and gas production in the region.

The "China Marine Energy Development Report 2025" released by the Energy Economics Research Institute of China National Offshore Oil Corporation recently indicates that in 2025, China's marine oil production will be approximately 68 million tons, an increase of about 2.5 million tons compared to the previous year, accounting for about 80% of the national increase in oil production.

  报告表明，2025年，我国持续加大海洋勘探力度，海上油气增储上产资源基础不断夯实。截至2025年三季度末，我国海域获得5个新发现，成功评价22个含油气构造，11个新项目投产。在北部湾盆地潜山领域实现重大突破，成功发现我国海上首个深层—超深层碎屑岩亿吨级油田——惠州19-6油田。

The report indicates that by 2025, China will continue to intensify its marine exploration efforts, and the foundation for increasing reserves and production of offshore oil and gas resources will be continuously consolidated. By the end of the third quarter of 2025, China has made 5 new discoveries in its maritime areas, successfully eva luated 22 oil-bearing structures, and 11 new projects have been put into operation. A major breakthrough was achieved in the submarine mountain area of the Beibu Gulf Basin, and China's first billion-ton oilfield in deep and ultra-deep clastic rock in the offshore area - Huizhou 19-6 oilfield - was successfully discovered.

  据了解，“深海一号”气田是我国迄今为止自主成功开发的作业水深最深、地层温压最高、勘探开发难度最大、天然气产能最大的海上气田。气田最大作业水深超1500米，地层最高温度达到138摄氏度，天然气探明地质储量超1500亿立方米。两组核心装置“深海一号”能源站和“四星连珠”平台群均具备基本的深海油气加工处理能力，能在海上就地完成天然气和原油气的分离与外输。

It is known that the "Deep Sea No.1" gas field is the largest offshore gas field in China that has been independently developed successfully to date. It has the deepest operational water depth, the highest temperature and pressure in the formation, the greatest exploration and development difficulty, and the largest natural gas production capacity. The maximum operational water depth of the gas field exceeds 1,500 meters, and the highest temperature in the formation reaches 138 degrees Celsius. The proven geological reserves of natural gas in the gas field exceed 150 billion cubic meters. Both the core facilities "Deep Sea No.1" Energy Station and the "Four Stars in a Row" platform group have basic deep-sea oil and gas processing and treatment capabilities, and can complete the separation and transportation of natural gas and crude oil on the sea.

  中国海油陵水—崖城作业公司总经理李劲松介绍，“深海一号”每天产出1500万立方米的天然气和超过1600吨的凝析油。部分凝析油被分别存储于平台四根立柱的储油舱中，达到一定规模后通过穿梭油轮进行外输，这也是“深海一号”能源站3项世界首创技术之一。2025年，气田天然气年产量首次达到50亿立方米，超越项目设计的产能峰值。

Li Jinsong, the general manager of the Lingshui-Yacheng operation company of China National Offshore Oil Corporation, said, "The 'Deep Sea One' produces 15 million cubic meters of natural gas and over 1,600 tons of condensate oil every day. Some of the condensate oil is stored separately in the oil storage tanks of the four pillars of the platform. Once the storage volume reaches a certain scale, it will be transported externally through shuttle tankers. This is one of the three world-first technologies of the 'Deep Sea One' energy station. In 2025, the annual natural gas production of the gas field will reach 5 billion cubic meters for the first time, surpassing the peak production capacity of the project."

  未来，中国海油计划将“深海一号”在开发建设中形成的生产运维技术体系广泛推广应用，推动我国其他深海含油气构造进一步开发。

In the future, China National Offshore Oil Corporation plans to widely apply the production and operation technology system formed during the development and construction of "Deep Sea No.1", and promote the further development of other deep-sea oil and gas structures in China.

  中国海油有关负责人表示，“十四五”以来，中国海油以国内油气增储上产“七年行动计划”为指引，深入分析研究海南海域莺歌海盆地、琼东南盆地和珠江口盆地三大含油气构造的资源赋存情况，持续加大油气勘探开发力度，加快海洋能源基础设施建设，针对深水深层、高温高压和地层低渗等复杂情况展开系统科研攻关，在陵水、东方、乐东、崖城和文昌海域建成包含19座海上平台、3个陆地终端和若干水下生产装置的国内最大海上天然气生产集群。目前，我国海洋油气勘探开发程度还有进一步提升的空间，资源潜力大，要持续加大增储上产力度。

A relevant official from China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) stated, "Since the '14th Five-Year Plan' period, CNOOC has been guided by the 'Seven-Year Action Plan' for increasing domestic oil and gas reserves and production. It has conducted in-depth analysis and research on the resource distribution of the Yinggehai Basin, Qiongdongnan Basin and Pearl River Mouth Basin in the South China Sea, continuously intensified oil and gas exploration and development efforts, accelerated the construction of marine energy infrastructure, and carried out systematic scientific research and breakthroughs in complex situations such as deep water, high temperature and high pressure, and low permeability of the strata. In the waters of Lingshui, Dongfang, Leidian, Yacheng and Wenchang, a domestic largest offshore natural gas production cluster consisting of 19 offshore platforms, 3 onshore terminals and several underwater production facilities has been established. Currently, there is still room for further improvement in the degree of marine oil and gas exploration and development in China, and there is great potential for resources. We must continue to increase efforts in reserve building and production enhancement."
