On May 28th, China National Petroleum Corporation and China Southern Power Grid Company signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. Before the signing of the agreement, the chairman and secretary-general of China National Petroleum Corporation, Dai Houliang, met with the chairman and secretary-general of China Southern Power Grid Company, Qian Chaoyang.

根据协议，双方将本着“相互支持、优势互补、平等合作、互惠共赢、依法合规”的原则深化合作，基于自身能力优势，共同推动新一代信息技术与能源产业深度融合，在基础通信服务、企业数字化转型、5G创新应用、国际业务、市场营销、金融资本业务等方向开展全面合作，促进产业融合创新，共谋合作发展契机。

According to the agreement, both parties will deepen their cooperation based on the principles of "mutual support, complementary advantages, equal partnership, mutual benefit and win-win results, and compliance with laws and regulations". They will leverage their respective strengths to jointly promote the deep integration of new-generation information technology and the energy industry. They will carry out comprehensive cooperation in areas such as basic communication services, enterprise digital transformation, 5G innovative applications, international business, marketing, and financial capital business, to facilitate industrial integration and innovation, and jointly seek opportunities for cooperation development.

此次战略协议的签订标志着双方全面战略合作进入新阶段，双方将积极加强交流与沟通，建立常态化、多层级战略合作联系推进机制，携手打造中央企业跨域合作典范，推动央企数字化转型升级，为保障国家能源安全、服务社会民生作出更大贡献。

The signing of this strategic agreement marks the entry of the comprehensive strategic cooperation between the two parties into a new stage. Both parties will actively enhance communication and exchanges, establish a regular and multi-level strategic cooperation liaison mechanism to jointly create a model of cross-regional cooperation among central enterprises, promote the digital transformation and upgrading of central enterprises, and make greater contributions to ensuring national energy security and serving social livelihood.
