On May 18th, Party Zhiyi and Ning Lianqing, employees of the Black 79 Reconnection Station of Jilin Oilfield Carbon Dioxide Development Company, were conducting inspections on the large platform of the carbon dioxide injection gas well in the Black 125 block. This platform has achieved full operation with green electricity, and all the associated gas produced is reinjected. This is a vivid illustration of Jilin Oilfield's transformation of carbon dioxide into an effective oil-drilling tool.
截至目前,吉林油田二氧化碳总注入量达到429万吨。同时,吉林石化—吉林油田二氧化碳长输管道正在加紧建设。这不仅意味着每年将有百万吨级二氧化碳被封存于地下,而且标志着一场针对“低渗透、低丰度、低产量”开发难题的攻坚战取得了进一步成效。
As of now, the total injection volume of carbon dioxide in Jilin Oilfield has reached 4.29 million tons. Meanwhile, the long-distance pipeline for carbon dioxide transportation between Jilin Petrochemical and Jilin Oilfield is being expedited for construction. This not only indicates that millions of tons of carbon dioxide will be sequestered underground each year, but also marks the further success of a battle against the development challenges of "low permeability, low abundance, and low production".

As an important old oilfield in the eastern part of our country, Jilin Oilfield has been struggling to maintain stable production. Facing the predicament of limited development effect from conventional water drive and insufficient replacement of high-quality resources, Jilin Oilfield has adopted the action guideline of "seeking good reservoirs, seizing good opportunities, applying good technologies, and using good methods", and has firmly shifted the main battlefield for increasing recovery rate to tertiary oil recovery and unconventional resources, exploring a sustainable development path that integrates CCUS, air drive, shale oil development, and detailed exploration and exploitation of old areas.
打造CCUS稳产新范式
Establish a new paradigm for stable production of CCUS
在吉林油田乾安采油厂大情字井油田黑72区块,4号平台的景象与传统油田截然不同:集约化、橇装化的注入装置自主运行,智能化系统监控着每一立方米二氧化碳的动向。这是吉林油田打造的CCUS绿色低碳产能建设新模式,其核心目标是将工业排放的二氧化碳变为提高原油采收率的利器。
In the Heikang Oilfield of the Dangan Oil Production Plant of Jilin Oilfield, in the Black 72 block of the area, the scene on Platform 4 is completely different from that of traditional oilfields: the injection devices, which are highly integrated and in a skid-mounted configuration, operate independently, and an intelligent system monitors the movement of every cubic meter of carbon dioxide. This is a new model of green and low-carbon production capacity construction created by Jilin Oilfield for CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage), and its core objective is to transform industrial emissions of carbon dioxide into a powerful tool for increasing crude oil recovery rate.
“将二氧化碳作为驱油介质注入地下,不仅实现了碳减排,还使采收率提高了25%。”吉林油田二氧化碳开发公司相关负责人说。然而,从理论到现实的每一步都充满挑战。气窜、腐蚀、混相难、低温作业……一系列难题横亘在前。经过持续攻关,吉林油田打造了适配自身地质条件的“吉油模式”,掌握了从油藏精细描述、注采工艺优化到地面工程防腐防窜、伴生气循环利用的全链条核心技术。
"Injecting carbon dioxide as an oil-displacing medium into the underground not only achieves carbon reduction but also increases the recovery rate by 25%," said a relevant official from the Carbon Dioxide Development Company of Jilin Oilfield. However, every step from theory to reality is fraught with challenges. Gas migration, corrosion, mixed-phase formation, low-temperature operations... A series of problems stand in the way. Through continuous research and development, Jilin Oilfield has created a "Jilin Model" that suits its geological conditions, and has mastered the full-chain core technologies from detailed description of the oil reservoir, optimization of injection and production processes, to anti-corrosion and anti-migration of ground engineering, and the recycling of associated gas.
利用规模化布局与一体化设计,奠定工程基础。发展CCUS,非一日之功,亦非一域之力,吉林油田将CCUS纳入整体发展规划,推动其与地质、油藏、工程、地面等多专业深度融合。其中,仅一体化采油工程方案设计就覆盖了超过450口注采井,为大情字井、莫里青等油田CCUS项目的高效实施提供了蓝图。截至目前,莫里青油田先导试验累计注入二氧化碳超6万吨,对应增油量超1万吨,部分油井成功实现混相,验证了二氧化碳驱油技术在复杂断块油藏的可行性。
By adopting a large-scale layout and integrated design, the foundation of the project is laid. The development of CCUS is not achieved overnight and cannot be accomplished by a single region. Jilin Oilfield has incorporated CCUS into its overall development plan and promoted its deep integration with multiple specialties such as geology, reservoir, engineering, and surface operations. Among them, the integrated oil production engineering scheme design alone covers over 450 injection and production wells, providing a blueprint for the efficient implementation of CCUS projects in oilfields like Daqingzi and Moriqueqing. As of now, the pilot test of Moriqueqing Oilfield has injected over 60,000 tons of carbon dioxide, resulting in an increase in oil production of over 10,000 tons. Some oil wells have successfully achieved mixed-phase conditions, verifying the feasibility of the carbon dioxide drainage technology in complex fault-block oil reservoirs.
通过精细调控与工艺迭代,破解现场难题。气窜是二氧化碳驱最大的难题,为解决这一问题,吉林油田创新实施注采两端协同治理。在注入端,通过“全液泡沫+聚合物”等调驱技术,有效封堵高渗通道,扩大波及体积,试验井组单井日增油量达1.5吨。在采出端,对自喷井应用“控压生产”模式,抑制气窜并维持地层压力。黑125区块的10口井应用该模式后,单井日产油量增加1.3吨,产气量大幅减少。同时,吉林油田持续创新工程工艺:攻关高压封隔器,应对高达70兆帕的井筒压力;试验“杆式泵+井下控套”新工艺,改善生产工况;构建伴生气回收净化回注闭环,实现了二氧化碳的循环利用和效益最大化。
Through precise regulation and process iteration, we have solved the on-site problems. Gas migration is the biggest challenge in carbon dioxide injection. To address this issue, Jilin Oilfield innovatively implemented a coordinated treatment approach at both the injection and production ends. At the injection end, through technologies such as "full liquid foam + polymer", we effectively blocked high-permeability channels and expanded the swept volume. The daily increase in oil production per well in the test well group reached 1.5 tons. At the production end, the "controlled pressure production" mode was applied to self-flowing wells to suppress gas migration and maintain reservoir pressure. After 10 wells in the Hei 125 block adopted this mode, the daily oil production per well increased by 1.3 tons, while the gas production significantly decreased. Meanwhile, Jilin Oilfield continuously innovated engineering processes: they tackled the problem of high-pressure packers to cope with wellbore pressures up to 70 megapascals; tested the new process of "rod pump + downhole control sleeve" to improve production conditions; and constructed a closed loop for the recovery, purification and re-injection of associated gas, achieving the recycling of carbon dioxide and maximizing benefits.
拓宽气驱增效新边界
Expanding the new boundaries of gas drive enhancement
在聚焦CCUS的同时,吉林油田认识到提高采收率需要多元化的技术储备。空气驱,以其气源成本低、安全性较高等特点,成为另一项重点攻关的接替技术。
While focusing on CCUS, Jilin Oilfield has realized that enhancing recovery rate requires a diversified technical reserve. Air flooding, with its characteristics of low gas source cost and high safety, has become another key technology to be vigorously researched and developed as a successor.
空气驱试验稳步见效,探索低成本提采路径。经过近5年的努力,截至去年年末,吉林油田空气驱措施已完成全部方案设计注气量,现场试验效果稳步提升。大老爷府油田和新立采油厂的9口井,累计注气量超450万立方米后,阶段增油量已超1200吨。项目团队密切关注注气动态,针对优势方向出现的套压上升等气窜前兆,及时采取泡沫控窜措施,确保驱油效果。这些试验,为这项经济型提采技术的规模化应用积累了宝贵经验。
The air flooding tests have been steadily yielding results, exploring cost-effective methods for enhanced production. After nearly five years of efforts, by the end of last year, all the plan designs for gas injection in the air flooding measures of Jilin Oilfield had been completed, and the on-site test results have been steadily improving. In the Da Guorenfu Oilfield and Xinli Oil Production Plant, the cumulative gas injection volume of 9 wells exceeded 4.5 million cubic meters, and the stage increase in production has exceeded 1,200 tons. The project team closely monitored the gas injection dynamics and, in response to the precursors of gas migration such as the increase in casing pressure, promptly took foam control measures to ensure the oil displacement effect. These tests have accumulated valuable experience for the large-scale application of this economic production enhancement technology.
攻克动态监测“盲区”难题,为气驱装上“智慧眼”。无论二氧化碳驱还是空气驱,地下流体如何移动、储层如何变化,始终是优化调控的决策基础。过去,气驱领域的生产动态监测存在技术空白。吉林油田技术团队瞄准这一痛点,在民43-8区块水气分散体系驱试验中取得关键突破。创新构建多相流生产试井解释模型,通过对65井次数据的模拟反演,首次清晰揭示了注气过程中地层压力与孔隙体积的动态响应规律。这项突破填补了行业空白,实现了对不可见地下过程的“透明化”感知,使动态调控从经验判断转向数据驱动。
Overcoming the challenge of "blind spots" in dynamic monitoring and equipping gas drive with "smart eyes". No matter whether it is carbon dioxide drive or air drive, how underground fluids move and how reservoirs change have always been the decision-making basis for optimization and regulation. In the past, there was a technical gap in production dynamic monitoring in the gas drive field. The technical team of Jilin Oilfield targeted this pain point and achieved a key breakthrough in the water-gas dispersed system drive experiment in the Min 43-8 block. They innovatively constructed a multiphase flow production well test interpretation model and, through the simulation inversion of 65 well data, clearly revealed the dynamic response laws of formation pressure and pore volume during gas injection. This breakthrough filled the industry gap and achieved "transparent" perception of the invisible underground processes, shifting dynamic regulation from experience-based judgment to data-driven.
多元气驱技术序列初步形成。除常规连续空气驱外,吉林油田还探索出了水气分散体系驱和空气驱间歇驱替等新模式。吉林油田致力于构建一个针对不同油藏条件、不同开发阶段的精细化气驱技术工具箱,为老油田剩余油挖潜提供更多元、更经济的解决方案。
The multi-component gas drive technology sequence has been initially established. Besides the conventional continuous air drive, Jilin Oilfield has also explored new models such as the water-gas dispersion system drive and the intermittent air displacement drive. Jilin Oilfield is committed to building a refined gas drive technology toolbox tailored to different reservoir conditions and development stages, providing more diverse and cost-effective solutions for the exploitation of remaining oil in old oilfields.
激活老区与非常规资源新动能
Activate the old regions and new energy sources of unconventional resources
稳产的根基在老区,增长的希望在非常规。吉林油田坚持用“两条腿走路”,一方面向地下数千米深的页岩薄层要资源,另一方面向老油田的每一口井、每一个储层要潜力。
The foundation for stable production lies in the old areas, while the hope for growth lies in unconventional methods. Jilin Oilfield adheres to the strategy of "walking on two legs". On one hand, it seeks resources from the thin shale layers several thousand meters underground; on the other hand, it taps potential from every well and every reservoir in the old oilfields.
页岩油开发取得战略突破,薄储层首获工业油流。松辽盆地东坡的黑82区块,页岩油储层薄至2—4米,被喻为“千层饼”,此前多次尝试,效益均不佳。去年9月,黑82G平3-18水平井的成功打破了僵局。技术团队在邻区成功经验的基础上,采用“甜点优选+多段少簇+适液多砂”的压裂工艺,使该井投产后日产油量稳定在11吨。
A strategic breakthrough has been achieved in shale oil development, with the first industrial oil flow from a thin reservoir. In the Hek82 block on the eastern slope of the Songliao Basin, the shale oil reservoir is as thin as 2-4 meters, which is likened to a "thousand-layer cake". Previous attempts had not been successful and yielded poor results. In September last year, the successful completion of the Hek82G Ping3-18 horizontal well broke the deadlock. Based on the successful experience from neighboring areas, the technical team adopted the fracturing process of "sweet spot selection + multiple sections with few clusters + appropriate fluid and sand", and after the well was put into production, the daily oil output remained stable at 11 tons.
这口井的意义非同寻常。它不仅创造了该区域产量的新纪录,更重要的是证明了通过极度精细的工程工艺优化,能够以可接受的成本实现极端薄层页岩油的效益开发,为松南地区大量类似低品位资源带来了效益动用的希望。
The significance of this well is extraordinary. Not only did it set a new production record for the area, but more importantly, it proved that through extremely meticulous engineering techniques, it is possible to achieve the efficient exploitation of extremely thin shale oil layers at an acceptable cost, bringing the hope of benefit extraction to a large number of similar low-grade resources in the Songnan region.
多学科融合让“哑地层”说话,“解锁”评价禁区。多学科协同是解锁复杂地质潜力的钥匙。在扶余油田,东32-0026井原测井解释为“干层”,地质与工程人员通过地震属性分析、沉积微相研究和动态资料验证,判断其具有潜力,实施压裂后,日增油0.6吨并持续稳产。同样,在伏龙泉、小城子等老气田,通过“厂院结合”、测井二次解释与动态分析融合,重新落实了5类潜力层,稳住了松南天然气产量的基本盘。这些充分表明,深化地质认识,打破专业壁垒,老区依然能够找到新的资源接替点。
The integration of multiple disciplines enables "silent layers" to speak and unlocks eva luation barriers. The collaboration of multiple disciplines is the key to unlocking the potential of complex geology. In the Furui Oilfield, the original well logging interpretation of Well East 32-0026 as a "dry layer" was changed. Geologists and engineers, through seismic attribute analysis, sedimentary microfacial studies, and dynamic data verification, determined that it has potential. After implementing fracturing, the daily oil production increased by 0.6 tons and maintained stable production. Similarly, in old gas fields such as Fuzhulin and Xiaochengzi, through "combined efforts of the factory and the institute" and the integration of logging secondary interpretation and dynamic analysis, five types of potential layers were re-identified, stabilizing the basic production of Songnan natural gas. These clearly demonstrate that by deepening geological understanding and breaking professional barriers, new resource replacement points can still be found in old areas.
从向地下注入二氧化碳实现“变废为宝”,到创新空气驱技术拓宽提采路径,再到攻坚页岩油和激活老区剩余油藏,吉林油田正以一场静水深流式的全面技术革新,回应着资源衰减与绿色发展的时代考题。
