4月26日,由招商局重工(江苏)有限公司自主设计建造的全国首艘18万立方米液化天然气(LNG)运输船“乔治敦”号顺利完成交付,从江苏南通招商重工码头缓缓离泊,前往新加坡。

On April 26th, the first 180,000 cubic meter liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier in China, named "Georgetown", which was independently designed and built by China Merchants Heavy Industries (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., was successfully delivered. It smoothly departed from the China Merchants Heavy Industries port in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, and headed for Singapore.


据悉,“乔治敦”号总长298.8米,型宽48米,采用双燃料低速推进系统,具备低蒸发率、高环保性能等优势,是目前我国建造完工最大的LNG运输船,标志着我国船企在大型清洁能源船舶建造领域实现重大突破。

It is reported that the "Georgetown" is 298.8 meters in length and 48 meters in width. It adopts a dual-fuel low-speed propulsion system and has advantages such as low evaporation rate and high environmental protection performance. It is currently the largest LNG carrier built and completed by Chinese shipyards, marking a significant breakthrough for Chinese shipbuilding enterprises in the construction of large-scale clean energy vessels.


从南通出入境边防检查站获悉,受大雾、潮汐等因素影响,大型船舶出江都有“窗口期”,必须抢在涨潮时段以及航道上船舶流量相对少时出江,如果错过,将增加企业运营成本。

It has been learned from the Nantong Exit-Entry Border Inspection Station that due to factors such as fog and tidal conditions, there is a "window period" for large ships to leave the Yangtze River. They must leave during the rising tide period and when the traffic volume on the waterway is relatively low. If they miss this opportunity, it will increase the operating costs for the enterprises.


“我们提前登轮进行船体检查,最大限度压缩通关等待时间,确保‘乔治敦’号利用涨潮时机安全启航。”南通出入境边防检查站执勤四队副队长梁骏弘说。

"We conducted a pre-deck inspection of the ship to minimize the waiting time for customs clearance, ensuring that the 'Georgetown' could safely set sail by taking advantage of the high tide." said Liang Junhong, the deputy team leader of the Fourth Team of the Nantong Exit-Entry Border Inspection Station.


LNG运输船是运输零下163℃低温液化天然气的专用船舶,该船型因设计、建造难度极高,被称为“造船业皇冠上的明珠”,全球仅有少数几家船厂掌握核心建造能力。

LNG transport ships are specialized vessels designed to transport cryogenic liquid natural gas at a temperature of minus 163 degrees Celsius. Due to their extremely high design and construction requirements, this type of ship is known as "the jewel on the crown of the shipbuilding industry". Only a few shipyards worldwide possess the core construction capabilities for this type of vessel.


招商局重工(江苏)有限公司大型LNG运输船项目经理卢金龙介绍,像这一类型的船舶订单共有6艘,其余5艘已全部投入建造,下一艘预计将在3个月后完成交付。

Lu Jinlong, the project manager of the large LNG transport ship at China Merchants Heavy Industries (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., said that there are a total of 6 orders for this type of vessel. The remaining 5 vessels have all been put into construction, and the next one is expected to be delivered in about 3 months.
