中国石油网消息：9月7日获悉，广西石化30万吨/年聚苯乙烯装置成功产出合格HIPS-825高抗冲聚苯乙烯产品，实现新产品一次投产成功。此次新产品顺利下线，进一步丰富了公司高端聚苯乙烯产品矩阵，大幅提升装置柔性生产能力和高端新材料保供水平，有效补齐华南地区高抗冲聚苯乙烯供给短板。

China Petroleum News: On September 7th, it was learned that the 300,000-ton/year polystyrene plant in Guangxi Petrochemical successfully produced qualified HIPS-825 high impact polystyrene products, achieving the successful first production of a new product. The successful rollout of this new product has further enriched the company's matrix of high-end polystyrene products, significantly enhanced the flexibility of the plant's production and the supply capacity of high-end new materials, and effectively filled the supply gap of high impact polystyrene in the South China region.

The polystyrene production facility adopts the second-generation proprietary technology for polystyrene independently developed by China National Petroleum Corporation. It integrates advanced processes such as storage and batching, polymerization and evaporation, hot oil circulation, and precise granulation throughout the entire production process. The main products are the general-purpose material GPPS and the high-impact-resistant HIPS. The entire process is mature and stable, with high automation levels and strong quality control capabilities. It has a 20-year ultra-long design operation cycle, providing strong equipment support for the continuous and high-quality production of high-end new materials.

The HIPS product has a unique "island structure" inside: the polystyrene forms a continuous matrix like the sea, while the tiny rubber particles resemble the islands in the sea. When the material is subjected to external force impact, the rubber particles can absorb the impact energy, prevent the crack from spreading, and significantly enhance the material's toughness. After modification, the material becomes milky white and opaque. While maintaining good rigidity, easy coloring, easy injection molding, and excellent electrical insulation performance, its impact resistance is increased by several times, and the cost performance is outstanding.
